FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem Inc. and Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. announced on October 15, 2026 the joint launch of FF Nova, an entry-level embodied AI humanoid robot priced at $2,490, and FF Nova Mini, a $299 humanoid for foundational Physical AI education, alongside a new curriculum and developer programs.

Both robots join the “One Brain, Multi-forms, Multi-capabilities” FF Robot World 2.0 lineup. The companies describe FF Nova as America’s first embodied AI humanoid robot priced below $2,500, designed for developers and the education ecosystem, and FF Nova Mini as America’s first foundational Physical AI education platform built around a true bipedal humanoid. A Developer Skills Package for Nova is priced at $390, and the Nova Mini’s accompanying curriculum at $499. The joint launch presentation also introduced the FF EAI Education Skills “Physical AI Spark Program” Curriculum, the Nova Physical AI Reinforcement Learning Developer Program, and limited, invitation-only recruitment for the Nova Developer Community.

FFR Chief Executive Officer Jerry Wang said the launches mark “an important step for FFR in bringing Physical AI from the laboratory to real-world applications accessible to developers, educational institutions, schools, and families.”

FF Nova Hardware and Developer Platform

According to the FF Nova product page, the robot stands 49.7 centimeters tall, weighs 2.8 kilograms, and carries 20 full-body degrees of freedom split across its head (two), arms (six), and legs (twelve). It can walk, turn, wave, and return to its feet after being knocked over.

Nova runs on 10 TOPS of on-device compute with 8 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Its sensor suite combines a top-mounted 2D LiDAR, a wide-angle camera of roughly four megapixels, a 3D time-of-flight sensor, and a three-microphone ring array that supports sound-source localization and voiceprint recognition. A 2-inch, 240-by-296-pixel face display, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4 are also included.

The humanoid offers two movement modes: bipedal walking at 0.1 meters per second, or riding a detachable wheeled base at 0.8 meters per second, with a maximum obstacle height of two centimeters. For interaction, Nova connects to a large voice AI model for natural conversation and voiceprint recognition, and it supports AI Agent integration, which the companies say lets a cloud-based agent operate through the physical robot.

The developer platform includes a fully open SDK, a ROS 2 development workflow, and ongoing over-the-air updates. The companies say they will open the full Sim2Real reinforcement learning pipeline and provide a Skills Store and developer community where developer-created capabilities can be shared, reused, and potentially monetized.

Phased Rollout and Reinforcement Learning Program

FF Nova is being released in three phases. Phase One is a limited, invitation-only run of 100 units for invited developers and educational institutions, with the first 20 units ready for immediate delivery. Applications must be submitted through developer.ff.com within a seven-day application window; submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis, invitation results are announced after the window closes, and approved applicants may then place orders. Pioneer Edition users receive priority delivery, early access to the SDK and developer documentation, sample projects, official technical support, and opportunities to co-create with the ecosystem.

Phase Two will open to all developers and educational institutions and will present the first development results and examples of real-world applications, followed by the full consumer launch in Phase Three.

The Nova Physical AI Reinforcement Learning Developer Program offers support based on the NVIDIA Isaac platform, with an end-to-end workflow running from simulation training to validation on physical hardware. Developers can conduct parallel training in simulation, tune reward functions, and apply domain randomization, then deploy trained policies on a physical FF Nova for validation and optimization. Listed capabilities include simulation training, data replay, reward-function configuration, and model evaluation.

Recruitment for the Nova Developer Community is open on a limited, invitation-only basis to AI algorithm engineers, robotics developers, educators, maker enthusiasts, and enterprise partners. Developers can request an invitation code through developer.ff.com or join through an invitation from an existing developer, and the companies say outstanding projects may qualify for support through a Developer Support Program.

FF Nova Mini and the Spark Program Curriculum

The FF Nova Mini product page describes a robot built for children and teenagers ages eight and up, for use in K-12 classrooms, after-school programs, and homes. It stands 34.9 centimeters tall, weighs 0.94 kilograms, uses an aluminum-alloy frame, and moves on 17 high-precision servos: one in the head, three per arm, and five per leg. The Mini walks with a human-like gait, turns, stands up on its own, maintains dynamic balance, and can perform a forward roll. It ships with more than 40 built-in voice commands and more than 50 preloaded moves and dances, and it supports visual block-based programming and teach-by-hand posing, with an AI coding tutor included.

The $499 Nova Mini Physical AI Foundations Curriculum, offered under the Spark Program, comprises 16 live small-group classes held over Zoom across eight weeks, with six to ten children per group and no coding experience required. The curriculum progresses from “Meet Your Robot” through controls and commands and pose-by-pose programming, ending with a final session in which students choreograph an original robot dance and perform it live. Purchasers of the $499 course also receive an exclusive cash voucher toward the $299 Nova Mini device, with the voucher amount and terms subject to the official sales policy.

FFR says it will also work with Montessori organizations, early childhood education providers, and elementary schools to develop teaching kits, work cards, and observation and assessment tools.

Sales Channels, Symposium, and Transaction Background

The full FF robotics lineup is on sale through online and offline channels. Online, products roll out through FF.com, FF Mall, and FF’s official Amazon store, with direct purchase, reservation, or application depending on each product’s sales policy. Offline, FF’s direct sales team and partners serve schools, school districts, universities, research institutions, vocational education providers, STEM training organizations, and enterprise customers, offering product experiences, demos, education solutions, pilot programs, and institutional purchasing. FF Education Season is underway, and Robot World 2.0’s first year-end shopping season has begun with limited-time online offers.

FFAI and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics jointly hosted an engineering and frontier-technology symposium at FFAI headquarters, drawing more than 50 invited scholars and professors. Participants experienced the FF EAI Robotics Education Ecosystem and the EAI Data Factory and discussed joining the FFR Developer Platform.

The launches follow the definitive agreements FFR and FFAI signed on October 12, 2026 for FFR to acquire FFAI’s robotics assets and business in an all-stock transaction at a valuation of approximately $200 million, with FFR issuing shares at $2.246 each, a premium of approximately 50 percent to its $1.50 closing price on the signing date. Upon closing, FFAI would hold approximately 65.7 percent of FFR, with the newly issued shares subject to an 18-month lockup, and FFR has secured up to $10 million in PIPE financing. The companies have said all closings are expected to be completed by the end of October 2026.
